Hvis man virkelig gerne vil tage magien ud af malingens kunst, så kan man sige, det handler om at duppe noget glorificeret, farvet lim op på et lærred. Men faktisk tager det ikke magien ud af malerkunsten at gå mere teoretisk til værks med, hvordan de forskellige slags maling fungerer. Snarere tværtimod. Den her artikel om maling har i hvert fald noget poetisk over sig.
Spanish artist Miquel Barcelo works on his ceiling painting on the dome of Room XX at the European headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva in this undated handout photo. Barcelo was commissioned by Fundacion ONUART on the sixtieth anniversary of the Universal Decloration of Human Rights to undertake the most extensive work of art in the history of the United Nations at the venue for the Human Rights Council which will be inaugurated on November 18, 2008 by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon.
